SPACE BOOTY

Born Carl-Anthony in Columbia, South Carolina where his mom aspired to be a R&B singer, and his father an incredible artist in the world of Hip Hop dance and slam poetry.  Music has always been an important part of Carl- Anthony’s world. As a child, he was in band where he played percussions in middle school, sang lead in the choir, and was even lead singer in a Incubus/311/Weezer cover band in high school. As an inspired singer/artist himself he would perform in local talent shows & schools singing songs by Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, Usher, and Jodeci. He would also miss plenty of school meals singing for the girls at lunch. His freshman year was where he started branching out to other genres of music such as classics rock listening to artists like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, and his all-time favorite Pink Floyd. However, Linkin Park was the band that really curved his interest from classic to alternative rock. Within those genres he quickly learned how to overcome the hatred, racism, and pain of the world he saw so close to home. The sweet highs, hypnotic melodies, dope breaks, and spellbound lyrics, gave him the ability to create his own sound of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. 

Alternative music quickly became his outlet & foundation as he continued his exploration, eventually stumbling into the world of EDM in 2017.  Now in 2023, Carl -Anthony has begun his saga as DJ Space Booty, spinning House, Tech House, Deep House and Progressive House which is his new passion in the world of EDM. With influences from Dombresky, CID, KREAM, Dom Dolla, Seven Lions, Sonny Fodera, Kevin McKay, Eli Brown, Wax Motif, Tchami, Green Velvet, Kaytranada, and many more.
